PAR Members Inducted into NAR’s RPAC Hall of Fame

Fourteen PAR members were honored at the National Association of Realtors®’ RPAC Hall of Fame ceremony.

Because the in-person ceremonies were canceled in 2020 and 2021, inductees from 2019 and 2020 were honored alongside the 2021 inductees. Ken Enochs was a 2019 inductee. 2020 inductees included Greg Herb and Bill Lublin, who were recognized for moving up to Level 2 in the RPAC Hall of Fame, while Kathy McQuilkin, Sandy Stevens, Conrad Vanino and Merlin Weaver were new inductees. For 2021, both Allan Domb and Ellen Renish were recognized for moving to Level 3, while Bette McTamney and Tom Skiffington were recognized for moving to Level 2. David Dean, Michael McCann and Brian Slater are new inductees. Level 3 represents $75,000+ in lifetime investments and level 2 is $50,000+, while new inductees are $25,000+.

Skiffington, a broker in Perkasie, said, “RPAC is important to not only each and every Realtor®, but the public as a whole. It helps protect private property rights, which seem to be under attack. It also helps to protect our industry with independent contractor status and taxation on properties. This is just a few items that help all Realtors®. It is important that all Realtors® contribute to RPAC. It is an investment in your future.”

McTamney, a broker in Skippack, said that RPAC has been a passion of hers since the 1980s.

“I complained at a sales meeting about how unfair use and occupancy permits were when having to help one of my sellers get work done to pass the town inspection to be able to go to settlement. My broker Angelo Guerra made it simple to understand that our investment in RPAC did not just take care of being able to work together to get things done on the local level, but also on the state and national level with legislators who would lobby for our Realtors® to make changes for our industry,” she said.

“From that day forward, I started attending state meetings, then National Association of Realtors® meetings and invested in RPAC more each year. RPAC is my personal insurance policy that allows me to work my business each day and protects not just our Realtor® family, but also the public we serve. Today, I am very proud to be inducted into the second tier of the RPAC Hall of Fame and I am a Golden R investor. I am so happy to join so many of our members that understand supporting our industry and private property rights for all. I appreciate the force of RPAC, we do make a difference,” added McTamney.

District 2 Vice President Slater, who works in Phoenixville, deemed the induction an “honor and a privilege.”

“The leadership and investments in our industry have helped to serve all our membership on the state and local level. From Philadelphia to Erie, every investment, no matter how small, can make a difference. Therefore, I’m humbled to join such an amazing group of leaders and ambassadors for our industry,” he said.

McCann, a broker in Philadelphia, said, “Very few things are more important than contributing and supporting to the rights of homeownership and the real estate industry. RPAC has been an incredible advocate for those rights.”

District 10 Vice President Dean, who serves the Sewickley area, said, “If real estate is your profession, politics is your business. RPAC ensures that real estate remains protected and in the forefront of policyholders.”

Renish, a broker in Norriton, added, “Someone taught me a long time ago the importance of RPAC and I feel strongly about investing in the industry that has allowed me to assist buyers and sellers of real estate to achieve the American dream and a pathway to wealth building.”
