Realtor® Reach Out activities raise more than $68,000 statewide
Pennsylvania Realtors® made a difference in their communities through a variety of activities held last month for Realtors® Reach Out. More than 800 Realtors® in 26 local associations participated in charitable activities and fundraisers.
Local associations raised more than $68,000, donated approximately 2,100 pounds of food and gave 1,000 coats to organizations in their communities.
Association activities ranged from Habitat builds to food drives to charity auctions.
“With teamwork, anything is attainable,” according to Beaver County Association of Realtors® President Beverly Pietrandrea. “Our annual charity auction raised about $15,000 for local charities in Beaver County. Everyone has worked so hard this year to accomplish this goal.”
“The Lebanon County Association of Realtors® presented an $11,800 check to the Habitat for Humanity of Lebanon County,” said the association President Melody Kiene. “The check represented proceeds from our annual Habitat for Humanity Benefit Auction and does not include the countless volunteer hours our members contribute to prepare for this annual event.”
“The Greater Harrisburg Association of Realtors® was honored to work with New Hope Ministries, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, and Project SHARE,” Bernie Campanella, president of the Greater Harrisburg Association, said. “These fine organizations are committed to helping others in our community, and we are very grateful for the opportunity to support these generous groups. Realtors® live and work here, and we welcome the opportunity to help our fellow citizens as well as to assist in improving our communities.”
