State and local officials today assisted the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS® (PAR) in opening its new headquarters in Lemoyne, Cumberland County.
“For 30 years our headquarters was located in Harrisburg but as the association grew we required a larger facility to accommodate our members’ needs,” said PAR President Greg Herb. “This newly renovated building gives our staff the opportunity to serve our more than 30,000 members across Pennsylvania.”
On hand for the official opening were State Reps. Sheryl M. Delozier (R-Cumberland) and Glen R. Grell (R-Cumberland) along with Cumberland County Commissioner Barbara B. Cross.
The new facility was purchased in 2008 and was extensively renovated. The 24,000-square-foot building was divided into a 15,000-square-foot space which now serves as the PAR headquarters. The remaining 9,000-square-feet will be leased.
The space was reconfigured with offices located around the perimeter of the building to take advantage of natural light. Additional skylights were added for day-lighting and to allow for natural light to flow into interior spaces.
The facility houses 27 staff offices, a multi-purpose room that can be used for member meetings and education courses, two conference rooms and several work areas.
