William McFalls Jr., a West Chester Realtor®, was installed as the 96th president of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® during a ceremony last night in Harrisburg.
“I do believe that we are at a critical time in our industry that requires a steady hand on the wheel, a focus that looks a few steps ahead of the next turn and a team that is willing to make the changes necessary to position us as one of the best associations in the country,” said McFalls.
McFalls spoke about the strong team that is behind him, including the 10 district vice presidents, the leadership team and PAR CEO Mike McGee, all who will be reaching out even more to local associations this year to make PAR even stronger. McFalls also encouraged more PAR members to get involved, and spoke of his own path to the presidency.
“Many of you here tonight may be thinking about becoming a leader in the future, but are concerned about the time commitment and effect on your business. In leadership at PAR, we do not give up our businesses when we serve. It may appear that way at times, but I am here to tell you that it won’t. As a matter of fact, your business will grow from the leadership skills you will learn when you serve,” said McFalls. “I want those of you here tonight who have thought about becoming a future leader here at PAR to accept this as my ask. I am asking you to step up and be the future of this fantastic organization.”
A Realtor® for more than 28 years, McFalls is an associate broker with RE/MAX Preferred in West Chester. McFalls is a past treasurer, vice president, president-elect and district 2 vice president of PAR. He previously chaired PAR’s Legislative and Issues Mobilization committees. He is also a graduate of the LeadershipPAR program. He formerly served as the chairman of the board of directors for his local association, the Suburban West Realtors® Association, where he has been a member of the board of directors for 10 years. McFalls is a graduate of Villanova University and has earned the following real estate designations: Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Certified Residential Specialist, Graduate Realtor® Institute and GREEN.
