Gov. Edward G. Rendell proclaimed October as REALTORS® Reach Out Month and offered his support to REALTORS® who are serving their communities.
“In addition to the work Pennsylvania REALTORS® do every day to make their communities a better place, they have chosen to designate the month of October to spend even more time strengthening the communities they serve by volunteering to serve those less fortunate,” said Gov. Rendell.
REALTORS® are working with their local associations and volunteering their time in communities across the state.
“When we began this initiative last year, we wanted to make a concerted effort to help those in need during October,” said PAR President Greg Herb. “We extended REALTORS® Reach Out for a month so more REALTORS® would have the opportunity to help more Pennsylvanians.”
Last year when the initiative began, more than 2,200 REALTORS® from 27 REALTOR® associations volunteered and raised more than $28,000 for charitable organizations across the state. A list of participating local REALTOR® associations can be found at parealtor.org/RRO.htm.
