29 Pennsylvania Brokers Named to RISMedia’s 2021 Power Broker Report

Congratulations to the 29 brokers from the commonwealth for being named to RISMedia’s 2021 Power Broker Report, which ranked the top 1,000 brokers by sales volume in the U.S.

“Pennsylvania has so many hardworking Realtors®, and our numbers show that,” said PAR President Christopher G. Raad. “We are proud to have so many Pennsylvania brokers represented on RISMedia’s list.”

Despite the challenges 2020 brought, this year’s top 1,000 power brokers had close to $1.7 trillion in collective sales volume in 2020, up from 2019’s $1.4 trillion.

RISMedia’s survey of power brokers showed their outlook is primarily positive, with 53% of power brokers “cautiously optimistic” and 43% reporting a high confidence level in today’s markets. And they noted that the COVID-19 pandemic wasn’t their top challenge in 2020, lack of inventory was. Of those RISMedia surveyed, 84.3% cited a lack of inventory as the biggest challenge they are currently facing and 3.3% cited the coronavirus pandemic as a challenge.

“Pennsylvania definitely saw a shortage of homes on the market, as evidenced by our recent housing market report,” said Raad. “It’s a great time for sellers, but we are hopeful more inventory will be hitting the market soon.”
