Pennsylvania 1099-MISC Withholding Changes

By Michael McGee | Dec. 21, 2018 | 1 min. read

We have previously covered the new rules for 1099 tax withholding requirements in Pennsylvania.

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Radee Skipworth, deputy secretary for compliance and collections from the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, to discuss the changes to 1099 tax withholdings.

In the video below, we discuss some important issues those who pay independent contractors should know including what has changed, when is withholding not required, if the withholding requirement applies, what does the law require you to do, and more.

Be sure to watch the whole video to find out important information to be sure you are following current Pennsylvania tax laws for independent contractors.

PAR has links to various explanatory documents on our website, but we encourage you to contact your own local accountant as soon as possible to determine if you may have situations covered by these new rules, and if so, how best to comply with them.
