Realtors® from the Bucks County Association of Realtors® delivered 150 meals to emergency room departments across the county.
The association was able to support local restaurants, while showing their appreciation for workers at St. Luke’s Hospital in Quakertown, St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne and Doylestown Hospital. Meals were purchased at Jersey Mike’s Subs, the Honeybaked Ham Company and La Stalla for emergency room department employees.
Jessica Finnell and Susan Langenstein, the co-chairs of the Bucks County Association of Realtors® Reach Out Committee, suggested the idea of supporting the local economy and thanking frontline workers. “This was the perfect opportunity to support our frontline workers and support local restaurants in our communities,” Finnell said. “This one event will essentially help two groups of professionals in our community.”
Thanks to a Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® Century of Service grant, the association was able to have funding for the project. The grant allows local Realtor® organizations to help make a difference in their communities during the state association’s 100th anniversary.
“Bucks County Realtors® are an integral part of the communities they serve and our members always step up to fill a need. With the community reeling from COVID-19, this was a way in which BCAR members could offer direct help,” said Pam Croke, Esq., the CEO of the association.
