“Not all tech is created equal,” says real estate technologist and speaker Chris Linsell.
Linsell has over 13 years of real estate experience and currently leads a team of content professionals to give real estate professionals the strategies they need to be successful. He is hosting a session at this year’s Triple Play Realtor® Convention and Expo titled “Tech:Know – Top Tech Trends Changing the Real Estate Game.”
Technology is changing every facet of our daily lives, including our jobs. During this session, Linsell encourages Realtors® to stay on top of the latest emerging trends as he presents insights, analysis and some predictions for the real estate tech space.
Some of the tech trends that he will go over during his session include:
- AI-driven predictive analytics – not just for recommendations, but for reshaping pricing models and investment strategies
- Augmented/virtual reality for more than just home tours (for example, for digital staging and neighborhood simulations)
- Blockchain revolutionizing title transfers and fractional ownership
- PropTech IoT in regards to smart buildings that optimize energy use and predict maintenance needs
“Realtors® need to be tech-savvy, not tech-obsessed,” Linsell says. “Focus on tools that demonstrably improve your bottom line or client experience. If it doesn’t make you money or save you time, it’s just digital clutter.”
How will technology change real estate in the next 10 years?
“Transactions will be as easy as buying stocks, but agents will be more crucial than ever for strategy and negotiation,” he predicts. “Also, AI will handle the grunt work, freeing agents to be high-level advisors, and data literacy will be as important as people skills for successful agents.”
Linsell will cover more tech trends and predictions in “Tech:Know – Top Tech Trends Changing the Real Estate Game,” which will be held at Triple Play on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
