Montgomeryville Realtor® Todd Umbenhauer was installed as the 95th Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® president last evening.
“Whether it is helping someone buy their very first home or working with an entrepreneur in moving her growing business out of her basement and into a commercial lease or coordinating the staged distribution of a farm that has been in a family for more than 100 years, we are the business of dreams management,” said Umbenhauer.
With The Fair Housing Act turning 50 this year, Umbenhauer spoke of how diversity makes us stronger, and how Realtors® are there to help everyone achieve the dream of homeownership.
2017 President Kathy McQuilkin made remarks prior to Umbehauer’s installation. McQuilkin, an avid runner, said her fellow members’ “passion for our industry, property rights and our clients” fueled her year in presidency.
She told Umbenhauer that she could “not be prouder” to see him take office, and remarked on her confidence in his ability to lead PAR.
Umbenhauer thanked McQuilkin for her “exemplary service” to the association as president last year.
The president ended his speech by asked his fellow Realtors® to continue to “foster and promote fair housing practices to an even greater extent than we have in the past,” adding that it happens one transaction at a time.
A Realtor® for more than 40 years, Umbenhauer works with Keller Williams Real Estate in Montgomeryville. He has been an active participant on his local, state and national Realtor® associations. He has served multiple terms on PAR’s board of directors, and has been active in the Standard Forms Feedback, Standard Forms Oversight, Professional Standards and Convention committees. He is a past president of his local association, and has been a director for the national association for several years. Umbenhauer was awarded Realtor® Emeritus status by the local, state and national associations in 2015.
