Three Pennsylvania Realtors® Honored at PAR Board of Directors Meeting
George Raad, Eric Rehling and Lisa Sanderson all received awards from PAR yesterday at the board of directors meeting.
George Raad of the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors® was posthumously given the Lifetime Achievement Award, Eric Rehling of the Tri-County Suburban Realtors® was named Realtor® of the Year and Lisa Sanderson of the Pocono Mountains Association of Realtors® was presented the Realtor® Active in Politics award.
Raad’s award was accepted by his son, Christopher Raad, PAR’s 2021 president. George was active member of his local association, the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors®, where he served as president in 2005. He was a member of the board of directors for more than 10 years and served on many committees. George was a member of PAR’s board of directors for nearly 20 years and is a member of the Pennsylvania Realtors® Political Action Committee Hall of Fame.
“I can honestly say my father would have been so thankful,” said Christopher. “I never met a more humble or selfless individual who genuinely cared for others without ever expecting anything in return. I was lucky enough to call him my father, business partner and friend. Besides family, real estate was his passion. He loved advocating for it. It just meant so much to him. He loved every second of it.”
“How you live your life is how you are remembered. I think he embodied that,” added Christopher. “I know he is looking down with an immense amount of pride today.”
Rehling, a former PAR district vice president, has served as a member of PAR’s board of directors for 10 years. In addition, he chaired the association’s Horizons Committee and the Governance Presidential Advisory Group and served on several other committees. Rehling previously served as president of the former Montgomery County Association of Realtors® and as a member of many local committees. In addition, he is the vice chair of the Suburban Realtor® Alliance board of directors.
“This award means a lot to me,” said Rehling. “I am passionate about everything we do here. There is a lot more that we can accomplish. The award goes to all of us who are here willing to do the work.”
Sanderson is also a former PAR district vice president and has also been a member of the Legislative Committee and numerous legislative task forces. She is currently the vice chair of the Pennsylvania PAC and is a Golden R investor. In addition, Sanderson has participated with the National Association of Realtors® Hill visits in Washington, D.C. and serves as a federal political coordinator for U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright.
“I am very grateful for this,” said Sanderson. “I really believe in all that we do. It is really cool to know that we can make a difference. This career gives us so much and it’s great to give back.”
