Four Realtors® Honored at PAR Business Meetings

Four Realtors® were honored and presented awards at PAR’s Board of Directors meeting on Sept. 17 in Harrisburg.  

Chris Beadling, a member of the Bucks County Association of Realtors®, was named PAR’s Realtor® of the Year. Richard Strahm, a member of the Tri-County Suburban Realtors®, was given the Realtor® Active in Politics award. Guy Matteo, also a member of TCSR, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, the Lifetime Achievement Award was also presented posthumously to Salvatore Mazzocchi Jr., a former member of the Allegheny Valley Board of Realtors®.    

Realtor® of the Year Chris Beadling 

Beadling is currently the NAR Region 2 vice president, representing Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey Realtors®. He was the 2022 president of PAR and has been an active member of the board of directors for more than 10 years. He has served on numerous state association committees, including the Finance, Legislative, Screening and Public Policy Coordinating Committees.  

He graduated from LeadershipPAR and NAR’s Leadership Academy. He is currently NAR’s 2026 MLS & Data Management Liaison and is the past chair of NAR’s Federal Technology Committee and the Data Strategies Committee.   

The broker/owner of Quinn & Wilson’s multiple offices, he holds himself and his agents to the highest of standards and still finds time to dedicate his efforts, passion and RPAC support to PAR.   

“I’m honored, humbled and stunned to receive this award,” Beadling said. “Thanks to all of my Realtor® family for what you have poured into me. And thanks to my mentor, Past President Bette McTamney.”

Realtor® Active in Politics Richard Strahm 

Strahm is a PAR’s RPAC Hall of Fame member and has been a major investor for the past 10 years. He has served on PAR’s Legislative Committee for the past two years and was previously a member of the Legislative Forum. He is a state political coordinator for two state legislators, Sen. Collett and Rep. Malagari, the sponsor of House Bill 1567, which amended the Municipal Code and Ordinance Act.  

In addition, he has served as the chairman of the Suburban Realtors® Alliance from 2020 to 2021 and is active in SRA activities. He is also a member of the RPAC Fundraising Committee.  

Strahm is the broker/owner of American Foursquare Realty, LLC, in Lansdale.  

While accepting the award, he said, “Our advocacy and political efforts impact my career, our industry, our clients and those close to us. We show that we all can work together to make a difference.”

Lifetime Achievement Guy Matteo 

Matteo was the president of PAR in 2011 and has served on the board of directors for the past 20 years. He was named PAR’s Realtor® of the Year in 2008 and received the Realtor® Active in Politics award in 1999. In addition, he served as the NAR Region 2 Vice President in 2019. Matteo has served on or chaired numerous PAR committees, including Legislative Committee, Executive Committee, Finance Committee and Headquarters and Staffing Needs Committee.   

He was the chairman of the Suburban Realtors® Alliance Board of Directors and served on their board of directors for 11 years. He has also served as an NAR federal political coordinator for two U.S. Congressmen for nearly 20 years. And he is a member of NAR’s, PAR’s and Tri-County’s RPAC Hall of Fame.  

A Realtor® for 38 years, he is an agent with RE/MAX Preferred Newtown Square.   

“I’d like to thank all of you, my Realtor® family, for the opportunity to work with all of you over the past three decades. I’m grateful for the lifelong friendships I’ve developed at PAR,” Matteo said.   

Lifetime Achievement Salvatore Mazzocchi Jr. 

The Lifetime Achievement Award was posthumously awarded to Mazzocchi, who unexpectedly passed away last year.  

Mazzocchi was the owner of Mazzocchi Real Estate in Clarion. He was active in his local association, where he served on every committee, was a member of the board of directors for nearly 20 years, and was a multi-term president of the association.  

He was active at the state level and a member of numerous committees and task forces, including the Legislative Committee, the Standard Forms Committee and the Finance Committee. He served on PAR’s Board of Directors beginning in 1994 and was a two-term District 9 vice president.  

A U.S. Army veteran, Mazzocchi was a member of his local church, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the Clarion Fire & Hose Company for more than 20 years.  

PAR Past President Chris Raad presented the award and noted, “We celebrate a life dedicated to service, his family, his country and community. May his spirit continue to guide us, reminding us of the power of kindness and the importance of living a life of purpose.”  

Mazzocchi’s family, including his wife, Karen; son, Vince; daughter, Gina; and brother, Ray, attended the presentation in Harrisburg. Vince Mazzocchi accepted the award and noted, “My dad would have been honored to receive this award. The award is a testament to my dad’s commitment and passion for the real estate industry.”
