“Our course will start by going over the requirements that exist before even formulating a relationship, as well as the different agency relationships that are allowed in Pennsylvania,” says PAR Associate Counsel Kacy Clouser. “Duties of a licensee can differ depending on which side of the transaction you are on, so the course will cover what those duties are and which forms are required.”
Clouser and fellow PAR Associate Counsel Paige Perrucci will co-teach a course at this year’s Triple Play Realtor® Convention and Trade Expo titled “Agency Relationships and Disclosures in Pennsylvania.” The three-hour course is a Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission-required topic for the 2024-2026 continuing education cycle.
Throughout the course, Clouser and Perrucci will examine Pennsylvania real estate agency relationships as defined by the Real Estate Registration and Licensing Act, as well as the standard forms used in the sale or purchase of real estate. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussion of the variety of agency relationships in conjunction with the specific forms to be used in compliance with RELRA for the protection of the consumer.
“We will wrap up the session with an update based on court decisions and disciplinary cases related to agency,” Clouser adds. “Overall, the course will provide Realtors® with relevant, up-to-date information that will help them understand agency relationships and disclosures to better represent their clients.”
“Agency Relationships and Disclosures” will be held at Triple Play on Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon, as well as Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon.
In addition to this course, Clouser and Perrucci will teach another course titled “PA Legal Update,” where they will provide an update on Pennsylvania legal issues to assure Realtors® are reducing risk and operating in full compliance. This course is eligible for two Pennsylvania continuing education credits and will be held Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 2 to 4 p.m.
