Broker Joan Docktor receives national award in Boston

Pennsylvania Realtor® Joan Docktor, president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors®, was honored at RISMedia’s Annual Power Broker Reception and Dinner last week in Boston. Nearly 600 brokers and industry leaders gathered at the event to celebrate the Power Brokers ranked in RISMedia’s 2018 Power Broker Top 500 as well as four industry leaders.

Docktor received the Real Estate Leadership Award, sponsored by Buffini & Company. The award honors an industry visionary who embraces innovation and exercises resilience to blaze new paths to success for real estate professionals and consumers alike.

“From this industry, I’ve learned love from all of you,” said Docktor. “What you do for others and how we give our hearts to our agents and clients is just an amazing thing, and I can’t think of another career that comes near to this one. It’s very dear to me, and I can only hope that those that come behind us learn a lot from us and give back to all of those that we help. I must say thank you to John Featherston (CEO/President, RISMedia) and RISMedia, and thank you to the Buffini brothers.”

Docktor has been instrumental in the growth and profitability of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach company, which serves Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware with more than 65 sales offices, more than 5,000 sales associates and 700 employees.

She is the vice president of the Fox & Roach Charities Board of Trustees, the secretary/treasurer of The Realty Alliance board of directors and is vice chair on the board of directors of Bright Multiple Listing Service.

Her other accomplishments and honors include: Swanepoel’s Power 200 Most Powerful Leaders in Residential Real Estate, 2014 through 2018, Inman’s 100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders, SmartCEO’s Brava Award winner, SmartCEO’s Future 50 Award winner and the 2016 Helena Devereux Women in Leadership award.
