Kim Shindle is PAR’s vice president of communications. In her role, she’s responsible for overseeing internal and external communications, conducting spokesperson training and is the staff liaison for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
Kim has more than 20 years of association communications experience and previously worked as a reporter with a daily newspaper. She has received several communications awards and is the recipient of Lock Haven University’s Outstanding Journalism Alumni Award.

The national inventory of existing homes in April 2026 was approximately 1.47 million, which has risen to just slightly more than the 1.46 million in February of 2020, according to Dr. Jessica Lautz, deputy chief economist and vice president of research at the National Association of Realtors®. She noted that in most Pennsylvania metros, there is an acute housing shortage for buyers earning less than $50,000.
