This course will cover the history of housing discrimination, protected classes, common fair housing violations, advertising requirements, accommodations, and modifications for persons with disabilities, Pennsylvania State Laws, Article 10 of the Realtor® Code of Ethics, current issues and best practices to avoid discrimination.
Fundamentals of Deeds and Recording will cover the history of land transfers, surface, sub-surface and air-rights, encumbrances and water rights, what is real versus personal property fixtures, and trade fixtures. The Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission voted to impose a continuing education requirement for the 2024-2026 renewal period. The requirement is that a minimum of five hours of the required 14 hours of continuing education must be taken in the following topics: 2 hours in Fair Housing and 3 hours in Agency Relationship.
