About this Course

This course provides real estate professionals with a comprehensive overview of managing residential rental properties. It covers the distinction between property managers and real estate licensees, key elements of management and rental agreements, and best practices for handling rent collection, tenant screening, and retention. The course will ensure agents are compliant with federal fair housing laws and avoid discriminatory practices, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to manage properties ethically, legally, and effectively.

  1. Distinguish between the role of a real estate licensee and a property manager.
  2. Identify types of residential rental properties and related considerations.
  3. Recall the essential components of a property management agreement, identify the key elements of rental agreements and the risks associated with informal rental agreements.
