Real Estate Licensees’ Roles: Opening Doors to Safety in the Fight Against Sexual Exploitation and Human Trafficking

About this Course

This course is designed specifically for real estate salespersons to increase awareness and competence in identifying and appropriately responding to signs of sexual exploitation and human trafficking within their professional interactions. Given the unique access real estate professionals have to private homes, rental properties, and client relationships, they may encounter red flags or vulnerabilities indicating exploitation. This course will provide foundational knowledge on the dynamics of sexual exploitation and human trafficking, review common indicators and risk factors, and outline appropriate steps for reporting and referral. The course emphasizes Pennsylvania reporting guidelines, trauma-informed engagement, and the important role Real Estate Licensees can play in enhancing community safety.
