NAHREP Advances Sustainable Hispanic Homeownership

The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals calls itself the Voice for Hispanic Real Estate® and proudly champions homeownership for the Hispanic community, which made record-breaking leaps in 2025.

Founded in 1999 in San Diego, NAHREP began with a powerful mission that encouraged and fostered the growing Latino market. Its first local chapter was founded in 2000, and the organization now has over 100 chapters across the United States.

Throughout its existence, NAHREP has made great strides to raise awareness for, promote and celebrate both Hispanic heritage and homeownership. It has featured speakers such as Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama and hosted the first Latin Music Festival at its national convention.

NAHREP also continues to release comprehensive informational reports, including its annual State of Hispanic Homeownership Report and the State of Hispanic Wealth Report in partnership with the Hispanic Wealth Project.

In Pennsylvania, NAHREP currently has one active local chapter: NAHREP Philadelphia. On Oct. 13, NAHREP Lehigh Valley will launch as the state’s second official chapter.

“We don’t just help people buy homes,” says Silvana Arraya, president of NAHREP Philly. “We empower families to build wealth and create a legacy for generations to come.”

“Although our chapter is in its early stages, we have already seen tremendous enthusiasm and support from the real estate community,” shares Vanessa Rivera, president of NAHREP Lehigh Valley, noting that the chapter has hosted several successful mixers and grown to almost 50 members, including 15 board directors.

“This rapid growth is a testament to the need for a strong organization that promotes Hispanic homeownership, professional development and opportunities within the industry. We are excited about the future of our chapter and look forward to continuing to build meaningful partnerships and create opportunities for our members and the communities we serve.”
