The Bucks County Association of Realtors® recently welcomed high school seniors from Archbishop Wood to learn about career opportunities in the real estate industry. BCAR Treasurer and Archbishop Wood instructor John Iannarelli led the initiative.
The program provided a hands-on learning experience and allowed the students to engage with real estate professionals, covering topics such as leadership, market trends, social media, artificial intelligence and professional development.
The event kicked off with a welcome from BCAR CEO Pam Croke and an introduction from President Frank Blumenthal. Students then heard from various industry leaders, including NAR Director Alex Shnayder, Suburban Realtors® Alliance CEO/President Jamie Ridge and PAR Directors Barb Matyszczak, Christy Manetta and Javier Nichols.
“This program is an excellent example of how Realtors® contribute to their communities beyond real estate transactions,” Blumenthal said. “By investing in education and mentoring young minds, we help shape the future of our industry and ensure that the next generation is well-prepared for success.”
Iannarelli started the program at his alma mater in 2022 and offers students an opportunity to learn more about careers in real estate-related fields. Since then, it has grown in popularity with students.
“This experience allows students to see firsthand the many career opportunities available in real estate,” Iannarelli said. “It’s inspiring to watch their enthusiasm grow as they engage with industry leaders and gain practical knowledge that will serve them well in the future.”
