About the Consumer Notice for Tenants
The Consumer Notice for Tenants (Form CNT) is used instead of the Consumer Notice (Form CN) if a licensee is showing rental property to prospective tenants ONLY IF the licensee is:
- the actual owner or landlord of the property;
- the direct employee of the owner or landlord of the property, or;
- leasing the property pursuant to a property management agreement or an exclusive leasing agreement with the owner or landlord. If a rental application is required by the licensee, the form may be provided at the time the rental application is taken instead of at the first substantive discussion (see Rental Application, Form RA).
