Glamping Comes to 7 Pa. State Parks

If going camping in a tent without a bed, air conditioning and a Keurig doesn’t sound appealing to you, then glamping in a Pennsylvania state park might be your perfect solution between comfort and outdoor leisure. 

 The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has partnered with Timberline Glamping to bring glamping to seven Pennsylvania state parks this year, offering a total of 54 sites for reservation. 

What’s included in the glamping experience? 

• Beds to sleep up to four or up to six  guests 
• Keurig coffee maker and mini fridge 
• Rugs, lamps, diffuser and cozy décor 
• Electrical outlets for devices 
• Ceiling fan, plus residential-style A/C and heating 
• Hammocks and camp chairs 
• Wood fire ring and charcoal grill 
• String lights 

Reservations also offer add-ons such as gourmet s’mores kits, “Little Glamper” activity boxes, Giant Jenga, cornhole and more. 

Glampers ready to trade their tents for twinkle lights and temperature control can make reservations online. Currently, glamping sites are located in seven Pennsylvania state parks: 

• French Creek (Chester County) 
• Promised Land (Pike County) 
• Hickory Run in (Carbon County) 
• Laurel Hill (Somerset County) 
• Hills Creek (Tioga County) 
• Codorus (York County) 
• Pymatuning (Crawford County)
