Small business owners optimistic about second half of 2015

In a recent survey, 65 percent of small business owners, including Realtors®, believe that the nation’s economy is on the right track and will improve for the remainder of 2015.
“This speaks to the improvements in revenue and cash flow that small businesses experienced throughout the first six months of 2015,” said Jake Dacillo, Director of Marketing at Balboa Capital, the small business loan provider and equipment financing company that conducted the survey.
The mid-year survey was sent to more than 35,000 small business owners across the country in June.
Of the respondents, nearly half, or 48 percent, think the end of the year will bring higher growth in the economy.
And small business owners want to contribute to it. A third want to expand their operations, with 9 percent wanting to expand their marketing efforts through the end of the year. Fifteen percent want to increase their inventory before 2016.
“One out of three business owners who responded to our survey want to expand their operations in Q3 and Q4, and this is consistent with recently published economic and employment numbers as they relate to small businesses,” said Dacillo.
As a Realtor®, how do you feel about the second half of 2015 for business? Are you in the 65 percent?
