How did you get started in real estate?
I always wanted to be a Realtor®. I’m an architect with chemical drafter and I’m into marketing, so I’m kind of tying some of my past experiences with the real estate. One of the things I like to do is help people find their dream home or dream business because I’m into the commercial real estate business.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my broker, Loren Keim, who’s an instructor and teacher, and the team I work with at Century 21. They’re very helpful when I have questions. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in real estate, you still have questions. It’s a great support system and I appreciate that.

What is your biggest challenge as a Realtor®?
The biggest challenge I believe of being a Realtor® is getting out there and finding leads and finding that target market that you are looking for. What I do is I like to target who I’m looking for and not just do a shotgun approach because I want to be able to help the people that I’m best at. I don’t want just help people with anything and have them not being helped the way I would like to be helped.

What advice would you give yourself if you could go back to the start of your career?
Know what you want to do in real estate. There are many different aspects of real estate and if you don’t know which one you want to deal with you’ll go haywire. Your mind will be all over the place. Find out what you’re good at and go with it, because some people just deal with liquor licenses, some people deal with mobile homes and so forth. So, if you’re good with something in a certain field, go with it.

Why do you love being a Realtor®?
No. 1, I love to assist people. I love to be creative with them in their thought process when they come to me and how I can expand their ideas and help them make the right decisions without the pressure and give them the resources.

Who was best buyer/seller you ever worked with and why?
One of my best sellers was a woman who owned a stone farmhouse and she worked with me, and gave me that chance, knowing that I was still new in the industry. There was a lot of stipulation with the property, a lot of things that went along with this particular home and she was right there with me and we got it sold in under the time span of other stone farmhouses that didn’t have those issues. And there are still some on the market today.

What are you most proud of in your career?
I’m most proud of the advancements in my early stages and still being a new Realtor®, is becoming a part of PAR and my local association committees. It really gives me a drive to help and bring back the message to the people who don’t know what’s going on. I really appreciate being a PAR director and so forth.

What’s fun fact about yourself?
I love flying helicopters and drones. To me, that’s fun. I love doing it. I love movies and I love going on walks so my lady friend. I’m exploring more things in nature now, so that’s another fun fact.

What is your favorite PAR memory?
My favorite PAR memory are the dinners. I really appreciated dinners, with the entertainment and dancing and information. I love the winter meetings when the new officers are installed.

What do you do when you’re not selling real estate?
My favorite thing to do when I’m not selling real estate is I like to build credit and craft projects and I have to catch up on Hulu and Netflix.
