Books for Personal and Real Estate Success

By Hope Walborn | Nov. 9, 2023 | 2 min. read

“Learning doesn’t stop, and I do not limit myself in any way,” says real estate broker, instructor and speaker Dorothy Botsoe. “The variety of books and activities I participate in make me unique in every sense of the word.”

In any area of life, knowledge is important not only for achieving success but also for learning and growing. Although surrounded by short-form content in this digital age, many Realtors® attribute the lessons they’ve learned and the success they’ve reached to various books.

“I read a lot of different books,” Botsoe says. “I focus on leadership and books that will give me the opportunity for discussion and challenging our membership. Not only real estate books, but books on courage and overcoming rough life and business experiences.”

Botsoe shares some of her favorite books for real estate and personal success below. “All these books have allowed me to pivot on so many levels and deliver a quality of service that works for my real estate companies, teams and the general public.”

  • “The Compound Effect: Jumpstart Your Income, Your Life, Your Success” by Darren Hardy (with accompanying workbook)
  • “How to Become a Power Agent in Real Estate: A Top Industry Trainer Explains How to Double Your Income in 12 Months” by Darryl Davis
