Company introduces foreclosure app

A mobile application now provides more up-to-date foreclosure information as a result of a partnership between Visionary Apps LLC and RealtyTrac®.

The Complete Foreclosure app, currently available for the iPhone and iPad, is now exclusively powered by RealtyTrac data, according to Daniel Burrus, chief executive officer and founder of Visionary Apps, a smart-phone and tablet tool company.

“This free app has a great interface and will give information on all of the 1.5 million new default, auction, bank-owned and pre-foreclosure listings,” Burrus said. “It allows users to have real-time access so if a property is just coming on the market, you know immediately.”

“Overall, the RealtyTrac data and new features will help dramatically increase the user experience,” he said.  “We’ve made it incredibly easy for users to find foreclosed properties that meet their needs. They simply tap their screen for detailed listing data or to be connected directly to a local real estate professional associated with the property who can answer their questions about the home or foreclosure buying process.

“Technology is changing the way real estate is sold,” Burrus said. “Our main computer used to be our laptop but in reality, it’s shifting to our smartphone and tablet computer. People don’t drive around with their laptops looking for homes but their phone is with them all the time. With the focus on mobile apps, they can have access to this information through this app all the time. Then they can work with a Realtor® to help manage the transaction.”

When the app was initially released in February 2010, it accessed dozens of sources for data on foreclosed properties, providing about 25 fields of data on each property. The exclusive relationship with RealtyTrac now provides up to 75 fields of data for users.

Easily customizable options allow users to filter out any properties that do not meet their needs. Custom sort options include price, square footage and number of bedrooms and bathrooms. And users can arrange a showing and sign up for price reduction alerts.

Realtors® who specialize in distressed properties can purchase exclusive rights to specific zip code regions so consumers can contact them about these properties.

When the initial Complete Foreclosure app launched last year, the app was the first national foreclosures app and instantly rated as one of the top ten business apps on iTunes and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Forbes and Bloomberg News.

“In the past, every economic recovery was led by home sales,” Burrus said. “In launching this app, I’m hoping to see these distressed properties sold to help the housing market continue to recover. We need to flush these foreclosed properties out of the real estate market to help turn things around.”
