Local Associations Honored at RPAC Awards Lunch

Local associations were honored for their contributions to the Pennsylvania Realtors® Political Action Committee at a luncheon in Harrisburg yesterday.

In 2021, members raised the second highest amount ever at $919,520 for RPAC, with a huge jump in the participate rate at 43.42%, representing 15,243 investors. For committees, 99% of all members invested, as well as 88% of the board of directors.

“I am proud of all the hard work and dedication that our fellow Realtors® have to RPAC,” said Alexa Sánchez, chair of the 2021 RPAC Fundraising Committee. “Investing in RPAC is a commitment to our industry and we had a fantastic year with many members participating.”

2022 NAR Realtor® Party Director Hagen Stone, guest speaker at the event, said, “It takes a great team to pull off this type of fundraising. The money we invest in RPAC really helps people. There’s nothing partisan about housing or commercial properties.”

For the highest per capita RPAC investments for extra large boards, Tri-County Suburban Realtors® was first with 221.08% of their goal, followed by Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors® with 175.57% and the Bucks County Association with 156.24%. For the highest per capita RPAC investments for large boards, Pocono Mountains Association was named first with 282.14% of their goal, followed by Reading-Berks Association with 277.22% and Realtors® of York & Adams Counties in third with 190.64%. In highest per capita RPAC investments for medium boards, Central Susquehanna Valley Board was first with 451.64% of their goal, followed by Pike/Wayne Association in second with 273.94% and Centre County Association in third with 256.80%. Finally, for highest per capita RPAC investments for small boards, McKean County Association was first with 357.14% of their goal, followed by North Central Penn Board with 217.57% and Cambria Somerset Association with 182.25%.

In membership participation, Bucks County Association was recognized as having the highest percentage in extra large boards with 59.11% of members investing, followed by Tri-County Suburban Realtors® with 45.38% membership participation and Realtors® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh with 35.91%. For large boards, Pocono Mountains Association was first with 60.22% of members participating, followed by Reading-Berks Association with 40.16% and Realtors® of York & Adams Counties with 30.68%. In medium boards, Pike/Wayne Association was first with 87.98% of members investing, followed by Lebanon County Association with 70.76% and Realtors® of Westmoreland, Indiana and Mon Valley with 68.74%. For small boards, Elk-Cameron County Board was first with 122.73% membership participation, followed by Clearfield-Jefferson Association with 89.83% and Bradford Sullivan Association with 87.50% participation.

Finally, the associations with the most improved per capita RPAC investments were honored. For extra large boards, it was Bucks County Association, for large boards, Pocono Mountains Association was first, for medium boards, Pen-Mar Regional Association was named first and for small boards, McKean County Association was first. For the most improved member RPAC participation, Realtors® of Metropolitan Pittsburgh was named first for the extra large board, while the Pocono Mountains Association was first for large boards. For medium boards, Central Susquehanna Valley Board was first and for small boards, it was Schuylkill County Board.

Additionally, 24 local associations were recognized for having at least 50% participation in RPAC.
