Adrienne “Abe” Wagner is one of those Realtors® who is always looking to increase her knowledge and skills in the real estate business. Recently she decided to put in her application to the new Master of Real Estate program offered by REALTOR® University.
“A Master’s Degree from REALTOR® University will allow me to pursue a deeper understanding of the forces that shape our business,” said Wagner.
The Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® recently set up several scholarships for members who want to enroll in the Master of Real Estate Program. These scholarships were set up to honor Jim Helsel, PAR member, who is currently running for President of the National Association of Realtors®. Helsel has spent his real estate career dedicated to educating those looking to enter the business; as co-author of the popular textbook for pre-licensure courses, Modern Real Estate Practice in Pennsylvania, and as an instructor for the designation, Graduate of the Realtors® Institute (GRI).
Wagner recently learned she is a recipient of one of the Jim Helsel Scholarships. “Thank you to the Pennsylvania Association of Realtor® members for their donation to REALTOR® University in honor of Jim Helsel,” she said. “Being awarded this merit scholarship is an incredible blessing that I’m very grateful and appreciative for!”
Helsel commented, “Abe has toiled for years within PAR to let folks know of the importance of education. The REALTOR® University’s awarding of a scholarship to Abe puts a permanent ‘place marker’ beside her name in the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® books and at REALTOR® University.”
“Pennsylvania Realtors® should be proud of Abe’s willingness and effort to be President of CRB [nationally] and of her personal commitment to education as she works to obtain her Master’s Degree in Real Estate,” he added. “I am very pleased to see Abe awarded with a scholarship.”
