RealSatisfied still No. 1 agent ratings site, according to PAR’s standards

By Kelly Leighton | Oct. 31, 2017 | 2 min. read

Yet again, RealSatisfied and realtor.com® scored well on PAR’s Ratings System Report Card.

Newcomer RateMyAgent also scored highly, tying realtor.com® with 9.5 stars, coming in behind RealSatisfied, which again scored 10 out of 10.

Three years ago, PAR launched our system to rate the websites that rate Realtors®, with the intent of guiding Realtors® and consumers to select a system they can trust.

Last year, we reviewed nine sites, and this year, we did the same. We omitted Yelp after feedback that most Realtors® and consumers do not use it for real estate industry purposes. We added in RateMyAgent, a site that recently debuted in the U.S., but is extremely popular in Australia.

As in previous years, we rate the sites based on 10 questions, and sites can receive a star, half of a star or no star, based on the criteria. The lowest score a site can receive is 0, the highest is 10. This year, we omitted asking if an agent can remove their profile from the site, and instead asked if agents can cherry-pick or influence which consumer reviews are seen on their profiles.

For 2017, RealSatisfied was again our highest-scoring site, gaining 10/10 stars. HomeLight scored 5/10 to come in last.

We’d be interested to hear what you think about our ratings. If you have any suggestions, we’re happy to hear them. Please provide any specific thoughts about individual criteria or other sites to rate in the comments below.
