Three Pennsylvania Realtors® were awarded during PAR’s board of directors meeting yesterday.
Robert Freeman, Reed Pirain and Aimee Buehner were all honored during a special presentation. Freeman of Pittsburgh received the Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes an individual who has significantly contributed to the Realtor® organization. Pirain, also of Pittsburgh, was named the Realtor® of the Year, which acknowledges meritorious contributions to the advancement of the profession and to the real estate community. Buehner of Sunbury was presented the Realtor® Active in Politics Award, which distinguishes exemplary legislative volunteerism on behalf of the association.
Working as a Realtor® for more than 50 years, Freeman has been active on the local, state and national levels. He was not present to accept his award in person. Locally, Freeman served as president of the Realtors® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh’s president twice, serves on the board of directors and has served on every association committee. On the state level, he served as district vice president and on multiple committees. Nationally, he has served on committees, attended more than 40 years of conventions and was a director for three years.
“Bob has dedicated much of his life to the real estate industry and we’re pleased to recognize his service,” said PAR President Christopher Raad.
Pirain has nearly two decades of real estate experience and is involved in many facets of the industry. He served as president of the Realtors® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh, his local association, and remains on the board of directors. At the state level, he is a member of the board of directors, the Finance and Executive committees and the Young Professional Network Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the National Association of Realtors® board of directors and serves on the Public Policy Coordinating Committee. Pirain has also earned multiple designations and is active volunteering in his community.
“Reed often takes the time to teach others and offer his experience and knowledge to fellow agents,” said Raad. “He’s a dedicated professional who gives back to the real estate industry as well as his community.”
In the business for nearly 15 years, Buehner has served on PAR’s Legislative Committee and Legislative Subcommittee and regularly visits with her legislators. Locally, at the Central Susquehanna Valley Board of Realtors®, she served as president and on the Realtors® Political Action and the Legislative committee. Nationally, she is a federal political coordinator with the National Association of Realtors® and regularly attends NAR legislative meetings and participates in work groups and task forces.
“Aimee works tirelessly with local and state lawmakers to help pass real estate-related legislation,” said Raad. “She is a strong advocate for homeownership issues and the real estate industry.”
