NAR launches ACA awareness initiative

To help Realtors® understand the Affordable Care Act (ACA) mandates, the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) has launched a health insurance awareness initiative aimed at educating its members on the ACA program.

The new health care awareness initiative brings information and knowledge to members in a new and accessible way. A new health insurance topic page has been created on Realtor.org featuring:

• A new Topic Page for everything health insurance related has been created on Realtor.org.
• The page contains helpful articles, info graphics, and news related to the ever-changing insurance situation.
• Members can also find links to the ACA webpage, and to Realtors® Insurance Marketplace, a new offering from the Realtor Benefits® Program.

Additional information will be added to the health insurance topic page as it develops and becomes available.

Also, a live webinar will be presented on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. The webinar will provide an update on what’s happening in health insurance, responsibilities to comply with and options. It will also answer popular questions about the open-enrollment deadline and whether to use a private or public exchange.
