LinkedIn lets users add visual portfolio to profile

LinkedIn introduced changes to its user profile earlier this month that allow people to add different forms of visual content to their profiles, including images, videos and presentations.
“For the first time, you will now have the ability to showcase your unique professional story using rich, visual content on your LinkedIn profile. This means you can illustrate your greatest achievements in the form of stunning images, compelling videos, innovative presentations and more. From the analyst who makes annual predictions on tech trends to the 3D animator who is looking to fund a new short film, the opportunities are limitless for how professionals can now use the LinkedIn profile to help showcase these unique stories in a visual way,” LinkedIn said in a blog post.
Users can now add their work, creations or any other form of visual tool to their profile page simply by hitting the “edit” option and following the necessary steps on the “Summary,” “Experience” and “Education” sections of the webpage.
Users can upload any number of images, videos and presentations directly into the summary, work experience and education sections of their LinkedIn profile with descriptions of the work.
This could be an important addition to LinkedIn for Realtors®. Some real estate professionals say that LinkedIn is more useful for generating leads than other leading social media sites. A study last year by HubSpot found that LinkedIn accounted for almost half of all real estate-related activity on social media.
