Connect with new clients without leaving the house

We’re all busy.

After long days and hectic evenings as a Realtor®, chances are the last thing you want to do is go to a networking event after work. While it can be beneficial to your business, there are other ways to connect with potential clients without leaving your house.

A self-confessed introvert, entrepreneur Jordana Jaffe offers five tips on connecting with new clients-without leaving your home or office.

  1. Commit to writing a weekly newsletter. Share stories, updates and useful information that would be beneficial to clients or potential clients. Think of common issues clients face and offer suggestions or advice.
  2. Contribute to blogs. What blogs would target your audience? What blogs influence you? Reach out to them and offer to do a guest post. Getting your name and ideas out there is valuable.
  3. Create a Facebook group. Free to create, this business strategy is one that is sometimes overlooked. By creating a group, you can connect with potential clients, and its easy to grow your group as people talk amongst themselves.
  4. Establish relationships with “friend-preneurs.” Reach out to other business owners in the community. Get to know them and their business. “While this isn’t a direct business strategy, the more people you know, the more people who know you and know what you do, the more likely they’ll connect you with potential clients when the time is right,” advised Jaffe.
  5. Share free stuff via social media. Give potential clients a free sample of what you have to offer. Create a PDF of a top 10 list, write a free how to prep your house for showings guide for them, anything that will benefit them in some way, suggested Jaffe. Other ways to offer free services include: offering a free call, leading a free webinar, hosting a free Google hangout, inviting a small group to your office or home to get to know them better and offering to do a free call for another entrepreneur’s community.
