Century of Service Grant
Information
Purpose: Highlight the important connection Realtors® have with their local communities through service projects around the commonwealth.
Objective: Provide financial support for local associations to celebrate PAR’s 100th anniversary by developing their own action-oriented service project in their community.
Participating entities may receive $0.50 per member with a minimum grant of $500 per local association. Membership count is based on numbers received from NAR on July 31 of the previous year.
Service projects should be new to the local association, action-oriented and fit NAR’s Core Standards Question 42 regarding the community investment requirement. Projects cannot be a political event, and the event must take place between Jan. 1, 2020 through Dec. 31, 2020.
Applicants must submit a budget, along with a completed application form. Following the event, a summary of income and expenses must be submitted for review.
Guidelines for Approved Projects
If a grant request is approved, the following will be required:
- List PAR as a sponsor of your event and use PAR’s 100th anniversary logo in all promotional materials.
- Work with PAR to develop communications plan for your event.
- Invite at least one PAR representative (Line officer, DVP and/or staff) to attend.
- Final report indicating income/expenses – including sources of both, as well as a summary of the activity and number of Realtors® participating in the event.
Submitting an Application
Applications should be sent via email to PAR. A completed application must include the application form, signed by the local association executive or president, a copy of the project budget and a proposed outline of project.
Grant applications will be accepted until November 30, 2020. Applications will be reviewed and decided on within 45 days of submission. Grant funds will be provided on a reimbursement basis upon receipt of final income statement with verifiable expenses. Associations and districts are only eligible to receive one grant within a 12-month period.
Applications must be submitted prior to the service event, preferably 30 days or more, to allow time for the application to reviewed and if approved allows for promotion of PAR as a financial contributor to the event.
