C2EX: Are You Expanding Your Realtor® Knowledge?

You can help your local and state association win a $5,000 grant and be entered into a drawing to win a $100 prize from PAR.

All you have to do is complete NAR’s Commitment to Excellence Program. Based on size, the associations with the most participants will win the $5,000 grant via the 2021 C2EX Challenge. PAR will be also awarding a $100 prize to five randomly selected Pennsylvania Realtors® who are C2EX-certified by Oct. 1, 2021. More information on PAR’s contest can be found here.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, the program offers unique paths to earn badges and strengthen your knowledge and skills as a Realtor®. It’s a member benefit from NAR, and while you won’t earn a designation or certificate, you will take away new ideas for professionalism and providing your best service to your clients. Danielle Wadsworth and Ahmed Islam have been selected as Pennsylvania ambassadors for C2EX.

“The C2EX platform has a well-rounded set of learning modules that really makes you aware of all the facets of our industry,” said Wadsworth, an ambassador for C2EX and a Realtor® in Enola. “It is easy to get so focused in on showing houses and meeting with clients that we forget the big picture. The C2EX journey reminds us of laws, zoning, ethics and all sorts of things that affect our industry. Being aware of ongoing issues and emerging issues ultimately helps us best serve our clients and stay relevant right now with a lot of client distraction with the internet.”

Islam

Islam, a Realtor® in Harrisburg and C2EX ambassador, said he thought he knew everything he needed to know until he started C2EX. “There are so many aspects of real estate I thought I knew, but once I read through it, there were a lot of things I was not completely aware of, like certain real estate laws, and these things strengthen my knowledge of the industry. It helped me learn about my profession better than I would have on my own,” he said.

Even if you started the program when it originally launched, there have been updates since the original rollout, said Wadsworth. She encouraged members to at least try it out.

“It takes your business to the next level,” added Islam. “It helps you promote yourself as a Realtor®. I understand that some Realtors® know everything about everything, but C2EX has a customized learning path for you and focuses on your weaknesses and strengthens them. It is something to add to your toolbelt to promote yourself.”

Islam also said that C2EX has helped his business and also that he enjoyed completing the course. “It’s a training, but it’s not boring,” he said. “It really encourages you to learn.”

Wadsworth added, “The number of licensed agents is growing every year and with many relationships and integrations with affiliated services, the number of agents who are Realtor® members is higher than ever. With so many options for clients to choose from, one of the best ways to set yourself apart and stand out is to show your commitment to the profession. Any time we can show our clients that we went the extra mile, it is going to make you stand out from your competitors. Knowledge and education can also help prevent and solve transaction issues. C2EX is a great resource to increase your competency as an agent.”
